Audi 80 1.9 TDI. Dec 18, 2017. #1. Hi everyone, im new here. I have audi 80 1.9tdi 90hp, and i'd want to put bigger turbo in it, mine has original turbo which is pressure controlled. I dont know if its better to make make vacuum control for turbo or search same type turbocharger and from who it would fit without gigantic modifications.

There's kind of two questions here. If you're asking how much boost is safe for a stock turbo, then BB has the answer 18psi or so. If you're asking how much boost you can run before you have to beef up a stock ALH block, around 28-30 psi. Any more and you'll need better rods, girdles, head studs, etc. D.
Faulty Boost Pressure Sensor. The boost pressure sensor is typically located on the intake manifold and is responsible for reading the pressure of the intake air after it has passed through the turbocharger. A failed boost pressure sensor will be unable to relay this information back to the ECU and can cause a P0299 and other fault codes to occur.
